Kidney Failure-Anyone here dying of it, share experience.?

What's it like to die of kidney failure without choosing dialysis or transplant? The doctors won't tell me how I will know when I am close to death except for vomiting. I feel exhausted everyday. I must use the facilities more than any human on earth. I want to know what I face before it happens. Does anyone know more about the symptoms that happen when its almost time to go? Please share if you are in kidney failure or have known someone who passed from this illness? Thank you.

I did not ask for scare tactics or advice on choosing transplant or dialysis. To the person who says they worked for the kidney foundation, I bet it was not long. You are offensive and are the type of person that makes me want out of this life. Do not call me honey. You do not even know me. People like you are like many salespeople, they try to sell a bill of goods that is based on lies and intimidation tactics. I have no intention of going on dialysis or getting a transplant. So I do not need advice in this area. Until you face a decision yourself on this matter, hold advice to yourself as you are listening to other salespeople who want to extend your life so they can make more money off your existence.

John Dollar, a tenant at a nursing home decided to opt out of dialysis....two weeks later, he went peacfully in his coma like state.

I never saw him throw up.

My father also died of renal carcinoma and lymphoma....the treatment for the lymphoma made him sick..otherwise, i never saw him vomit either.

It also took about 2 weeks for my dad and he only had a kidney left. He also went into a coma like state.

I would at least try dialysis....now days if your in the right area's, people are doing it in their homes...makes it much easier.

best of luck to you.

my prayers are with you. dialysis is hard to do. you've fought long and hard. kidney disease/failure is not an easy one to deal with.

Sorry. But why dont you go for transplant ? Its easy and many of them are enjoying their life at fullest. Please be brave and think of getting well instead of negative side. God bless you.

You do know that people can live 30 or more years on dialysis, I hope. If your choice is to die, fluid overload tends to be long and painful. Doctors can't tell you what to eat, and I won't help you go quicker, but I don't think it's right to suffer, either. So hopefully, that will provide enough of a hint. But, seriously, consider the dialysis. It's not the end of the world, but not using it will be for you and will feel like it to your loved ones. God gave us the will to live...use it.

Honey, if you are at end stage kidney failure you would not be going to pee all the time. The problem with failing kidneys is you cannot pee and get rid of bodily waste.

Dying of kidney failure is about the worst death in the world. You body swells up with toxic waste and you are in terrible pain and out of your head. You are not "peaceful" and the coma only comes at the very end.

Dialysis is not fun but it buys time until they can find a donor kidney for you. Death is final I would think you would choose life
