Kidney failure from the flu? |
My husband's uncle has this nasty flu that's going around鈥?(late 50's early 60's, but terribly overweight. This is a guy that SERIOUSLY doesn't take care of himself well at all.) Yes I have heard of it and I am sure you have heard the statistics on how many people from the flu die each year. Some think the flu is just a cold but being a nurse I know it as a killer, everyone at risk with health problems and children and medical personnel get their flu vaccines first,then if theres any left than the healhy can get one this is how it works. He should have been on high risk. I am so glad he is better and I hope he will not be on dialysis for long. Report It I have heard that when we have a very bad cold or the flu we lose a lot of liquids and this affects our kidneys sometimes! It can cause minor problems like urine infection or sometimes major problems like your question. I have known people to get rhuematic fever and Kidney infections from strep throat. When I think I might be getting the flu or cold, I bring out the Oregano Oil! I use the Oregano Oil brand called "Now" If I think I'm getting sick, I take five liquid softgels a day until its gone. The flu virus is no match for Oregan oil, I don't care what anyone says It works! It is all natural and is very hot and spicy. The only side affect is it doesn't feel good coming out. lol....
