Could having depression and holding in your feelings lead to kidney failure?

Hi, again here i am- the girl asking questions about depression. i talked to my school's guidance counselor and she didn't say tht i had it nor did she say i didn't. but we were talking and she asked me if i had backaches or headaches. i said yes, mostly backaches. she responded saying- its probably because i'm carrying my emotions with me on my back.
i had basketball practice yesterday and i could hardly walk after we did lay-ups. i only did 2 lay-ups in the first 15 minutes of practice. AND then my back started 2 hurt. when i got home i was HYSTERICAL crying tht my back hurt. because it did- a lot and still does. and because of tht i missed a day of school because i could not move from my bed.(my mom isn't the type of person to let me stay home)
i have a case of paranoia to go with my depression (as an online test told me), so i wanted 2 no if...
i continue to hold in my feelings on my back could it lead to severe back injury or even worse- kidney failure????
please help mee...
coco

I've never heard of kidney failure being caused by a person suppressing their feelings, but holding back can cause other physical issues like the ones you mentioned in your post, due to the tension you're experiencing.

Never heard of that happening but you do sound very confused . How about your mom taking you to the doctor?

No danger of kidney failure. What's probably happening is that you're holding yourself awkwardly because of your tension, and that is causing muscular pain. I wouldn't pay any attention to so-called online diagnoses, see a real doctor if you want advice.

Stress and other mental disorders can lead to physical illness yes. Not sure that it can lead to kidney failure, but stress etc can cause diabetes, cancer, erratic heart rate (tachycardia) and heart disease.
So therefore you need to prevent holding in your feelings. By penting up your stress etc you are damaging yourself internally. Try a method called displacement, it involves letting the stress etc out in smaller more manageable chunks productively, this could mean digging a garden or doing an exertive sport. It helped me alot when i had grief to deal with. I guess it could help you too.
Hope this helped even a little.
Matt

No

NO. But you need a Psychiatrist/Psychologist to help you in coming out of your confusion.
