Kidney disease? am I at risk? please help!?

Ever since I was younger I had a high level of blood in my urine. They told me that I shouldnt worry that it just occurs in some people. However they had no medical backround on me.
I just got in contact with my birthmom, and found out she has kidney disease. We have a lot of the same issues besides. Now I am over come with fear that this will be my fate. Anyone know if its genetic? Or know anything about Kidney Disease and how it advances?

I have a doctors appointment when I get back from college to check but thats not for another 2 months...
Im just really worried any information to put my mind at ease would be really appreciated.- Thanks

my name is james powelson my website is jamespowelson.com
here I can explain this. Your mom probally drank to much and when she was pregant with you she probally drank or smoked or exposed to it . 2nd she might of had poor digestive systems answer would be a colon cleaning or detox for both of you.
