I have kidney disease and i think its getting worse.?

I have kidney disease and i lost my insurance coverage so i havent been able to go to my specialist since early august and i thought i was doing fine until today when i started peeing large amounts of blood. could this mean that i am going into kidney failure, which is what we were trying to prevent? or does it mean that its just getting worse? i dont know what to do because i really cannot afford medical bills especially with no insurance. what do u think i should do?

i cannot afford to pay the bill though, i am 19 and trying to get into med school, i cant find a job in my town this time of year because i live in a tourist town and we are in the off season. so basically i have absolutely no income.

plz email me--- i have to ask u some questions..i have kidney failure --getting worse too......storm_juanita_bonita@hotmail.co...

You don't need insurance to get to the emergency room of any hospital. Urinating blood is a serious symptom. Get to the emergency room

What kind of kidney disease do you have? Stones? Cysts? Glomerulonephritis? There are many things that can cause large amounts of blood in the urine, but you really need to see a nephrologist. Go to the ER and don't worry about the cost. You MUST be treated. If you aren't working, you might qualify for healthcare assistance through your state, and MediCARE will pick up the costs for some types of kidney problems. Go and take care of yourself and worry about the money later once you are in the clear.

My mother is on dialysis several times a week. It is very serious and your health is worth too much money to just relax. Call your doctors office and explain to them what is goin on. Maybe they can have you come see the doctor, and bill you for the visit to be paid at a later time/date. Or maybe they can give you advice over the phne, saving you money. If you are in pain then you should go directly to the hospital becasue it could be VERY serious,.. and lets not play russian roulette with your life here. Take care, Get Well.
