Polycystic kidney disease question...? |
Dad has dominant polycystic kidney disease. He has a 50% chance of passing it to his kids, right? What about mom? What's the odds of mom having the dominant disease? and if mom does have it, what are the kids chances then? Are they 100% chance that they'll get it? Are they 50%? if it's dominant and your mom had it then you would know/a kidney ultrasound would show it. start with looking up the experiments of Gregor Mendel, that will give you a good idea of how genetic dominants and recessives work. This is basic highschool biology, should have paid attention. |
