Any medicine for Polycystic Kidney Disease ?

My sister is living in Turkey. I'm living in Usa. I want to send a medicine to my sister. She's Polycystic Kidney Disease. Please help me about medicine. Drug or etc.

Here is a link to a clinical trial that they did for polycystic kidneys that took place in Turkey. They tested Tetracosactin.

There are trials in other countries that you can find by going to http://www.clinicaltrials.gov and putting "polycystic kidneys" in the search box, and hitting the map tab to see where trials are taking place

If her doctor has prescribed a drug and she can't afford it, she could try this website..

I believe that they often do kidney transplants for this condition and she would need to see a urologist or a nephrologist about that. This is what Steven Cojocaru (Cojo) had that necessitated his kidney transplants.

Treatment of Polycystic Kidney Disease
At present, there is no specific treatment for PKD. However, it is important for anyone with PKD to have regular checkups.

Treatment is confined to complications such as infection, stones, bleeding and hypertension.

A low-protein diet may slow progression of the disease.

Operations, such as cyst puncture or removal, designed to relieve pressure, may make the condition worse.

Blood pressure control and prevention of kidney stones and infections have improved the prognosis for those with PKD. Dialysis and transplantation are other alternatives.

you can ACE inhibitors Angiopril, Enapril for controlling blood pressure and paracetamol as pain reliever.

It is a serious disease , so its better to follow doctors prescription instead of trying self-medication.

Pain, hypertension, and UTI meds can be used. Which meds has to be decided by her doc.
