Lip gloss causes kidney disease?

okay, my friend said she heard lip gloss causes kidney disease. Is this even true? I need straight-forward and scientific answers! Sounds to me like a load of redbull :p

Honestly.. I think this is probably just another myth.. I've heard tons of silly stuff before! First of all, kidney disease is internal which means that something has to get inside your digestive system or penetrate the outside to cause damage. If you swallow some lip gloss it wouldnt case anything to happen. Secondly, when they make lip gloss and cosmetics they have to go trough tests and pass with patents and the food and drug administration which makes sure they are safe. If they caused any problems, they wouldnt be on the market. Companies spend lots of time going through stuff like that. So, no...nothing to worry about! Honestly. i doubt that there was even a scientific study....it doesn't cause cancer. your friend is misguided ( to be nicely put).

If that were even remotely true no one in the right mind would use that stuff and it would be pulled from the market. No there is no scientific proof of that so don't worry. just tell to get her facts straight.

i had kidney failure due to diabetes. if that was true you can get that from lip gloss there would be a whole lot more people out there on dialysis and on the transplant list.
