Any info on polycistic kidney disease.?

Anyone have any info on polycistic kidneys--nutrition or slowing down this disease. Or any info on preventing dialysis. Thank=you for any info.

It's an inherited disorder in which there are multiple cysts in both kidneys. The cysts slowly enlarge, progressively destroying kidney tissue. There may be no symptoms until middle age or beyond, & occassionally the condition is discovered by chance after death. Possible symptoms include pain in the small of the back, blood in the urine, or symptoms of deveoping chronic Kidney Failure. A rare juvinile form of polycystic kidney disease may be discovered at birth because of massive enlargement of the kidneys. There is no cure for polycystic kidney disease. The aim of treatment is to minimise the effects of complications such as kidney infection & high blood pressure. If the kidneys fail, dialysis or a kidney transplant will be necessary.
