What is the survival rate for kidney cancer? Does a doctor know if they got it all? This is a complicated question. "The best known way to estimate your prognosis is to compare it to the experience of other patients in a similar situation treated similarly, as represented by a survival curve." Kidney cancer is like any other kind in the survival thing. I guess it all depends on the type of Kidney cancer. There are so many causes for kidney cancer. I believe that Faith (believing that you are gonna be okay) helps.If they remove the Kidney or the cancer you may have to get radiation for a short time . You will have to go have have tests done at least once a year to make sure they got it all or no cancer is forming. If you want to talk send me an email. Best answer from a survivor himself: I had Kidney Cancer. They found the cancer in2000, & it was removed in 2001. It was my right one..They got all of it but I still have to be checked every year. My left kidney developed a problem(serious but not to bad) a cople years ago. It operates at 63% which haskept me off dialies. My biggest problem is I have uncontroled diebetes & it screws every thng up. |
