Does anybody know anyone that has died from lung/kidney cancer?

How does it start to affect that person? and how long are they expected to live?

hi,my grandad died from lung cancer 2 years ago and my arnty also had it but she came through it. to give you a honest answer to your question-everybody is different, people dont deal with it the same.my grandad gave up when he was told there was nothing more they could do for him-he lasted 12 months and if im honest,he suffered-he was in pain.there are all forms of cancer depending on which type you have normally gives you a idea of how long you are expected to live,i hope this has helped answer your question,if you would like to ask anything els then please do so.

hi. in november my nephews grandma died from lung cancer. it tokk her only 5 months to die. she started with ovarian cancer then went into remission for a year and then discovered she had lung cancer, she underwent months of chemo n radiotherapy but it killed her within 5 months of being diagnosed.

First, let me say, see a doctor. Only his/her advice can be helpful to you. Doctors may not always be right, but they have better educated guesses. lol.

Second, my father past away from lung cancer. He was first diagnosed in 1995 and was only given a year or less to live. He went through chemo and radiation for almost a year. He starting getting worried about his 'time limit' and moved the whole family 1500 miles away so my mother and us kids would be closer to her family so she had the help she needed. He spent the next 7 years 'waiting to die'.

Cancer is very serious. Don't always take the first answer, ask questions, lots of questions, and get second opinions. But only take medical advice from a medical professional.

Hope I was of some help. Best of luck and god bless.

my mom died of lung cancer and my aunt its not and easy enemy to fight but my ant lived about five years longer then they said she would and my mom would not let it control her or her life it can be beat but it starts with you deciding that your gonna beat this thing and not let it get the better of you my mom lived about (12 yrs) with it and right to the end she lived life to the fullest but with both of them i would say that theres no room for fear or doubt you have to be very confident that your stronger then the enemy and thats cancer doctors are miracle workers but you have to do your own home work on it searching all your options knowing your own choices because beleive me if you don't you could be a experiment for them because every doctor will have a different opion on how to treat your type of cancer i'm a cancer fighter myself a month after my mom died i got cancer and i beat it i've been cancer free for about (7 yrs ) praise God but after i got it i made a mental decision it took my mom your not taking my childrens mother !!!!! well then i also started to search all my options and found that there are also in other countrys they use vitamens and herbel remedies to so i did both and just because a doctor gives news you don't want to hear doesn't mean he's god either after all if you build a car and it broke who could fix it better the mechanic or the person who build it !!!! theopposite fear is faith fill your faith and starve your fear ho[e i wasn't to long winded for you but i guess you figured out by now i'm a jesus the great phsyion healer believer

It depends how severe the cancer is. I know with my auntie that when she started to deteriorate, it was a quick process and she became highly dependant on us very quickly. She had lung cancer and died two weeks ago. As to how long their life expect-ancy is, it depends on how aggressive and widespread the cancer is. Good luck, I know it can be hard.

The two types are different and the symptoms are different. So too is the life expectancy. There are at least 3 different kinds of lung cancer and each has its own profile on how it responds to treatment and how aggressive it is.
Lung cancer can be found when there is difficulty in breathing/ coughing etc.
Kidney cancer can be found with blood in the urine, inability to urinate, kidney pain and a variety of other problems with the kidney.

My husband thought he hurt his back at work. Went to the hospital was told he had pneumonia and a cracked rib. Pain got worse went back 3 more times in 2 days. Diagnosed March20th Went thru radiation chemo gamma knife procedure and took a drug called tarceva. By the time he was diagnosed it was everywhere. Sadly he passed June 6th. He was very brave never complained. Fought a hard fight. I have to tell you that when he was diagnosed, we had cook outs and parties and get to gethers with friends and family. Took alot of pictures. We went where ever he wanted to go, when ever he wanted to go. He ate his favorite foods went to his favorite restaurants and just did what he wanted to do. We would get up at midnight and go play pool until 4 am. I miss him terribly. Stay strong Good luck
