According To Italians, Too Much Bread Causes Kidney Cancer, Wonder If Theres Any Truth To This? This doesn't seem to be the least bit rational, first of all, bread is mostly carbohydrates, those break down and turn into glucose, the bodies form of fuel (to keep it simple). Eating too much bread might cause diabetes and obesity in the long run since bread (white) has a high glycemic index and if it's energy isn't used up quickly, it's stored as fat. Not really; too many carbs can lead to weight problems and therefore diabetes type II; diabetes can impair blood vessel delivery of nutrients and can therefore damage the kidney...but as far as kidney cancer goes, I highly doubt it. What Italians? Do not believe all you read and only half you see Interesting theory! Italians are full of crap, believe me, I am one and live with them!! HELP! |
