Can a kidney infection be cancer?

my mum got M.S about 14 yrs ago and still has it. lately shes been getting kidney infection very regular, could she have cancer? she is also starting to get other infections like in her teeth and bowels.

im so worried about her, please help.

Sounds to me like her immune system is starting to malfunction, so her immune system may not be able to fight off cancer cells as readily so she may develop cancer.

A kidney infection cold be a malfunction of the cells and in turn could possible turn into polycystic kidney disease (cancerous cysts in and on the kidneys) which is cancerous, however that is highly unlikely and ussually hereditary. I would ask your doctor to run some tests on you. Good luck.

Doctors can tell the difference between cancer and infections. The urine will show bacteria and white blood cells, and sometimes leukocyte esterase- urine infections can be common in MS.
