Is it True that FATTY FISH May Protect Against KIDNEY CANCER?

TUESDAY, Sept. 19 (HealthDay News) -- The heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids abundant in fatty fish like salmon and sardines may help protect your kidneys against cancer, new research suggests.

A large, 15-year Swedish study of women looked at fatty and lean fish consumption and the risk of kidney cancer. The finding: Those who ate high amounts of fatty fish -- more than one serving a week -- had 44 percent less risk for developing renal cell carcinoma (the most common form of kidney cancer) than those who did not consume any fish.

"That's substantial," said Eugenia Calle, director of analytic epidemiology for the
American Cancer Society. "There is very little published on this topic -- it may be the only study to look at fatty fish and kidney cancer."

Yes it can

omega 3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory and have a variety of health benefits. This isn't really a suprise, just the first study that shows this effect.

On the down side- all that great salmon that you get in the grocery store that's $4.99 a pound, is all farm raised. Farm raised Salmon doesn't have nearly the omega 3 as the wild salmon.

Nothing can protect the cancer .. it can reduce the chances .. cabbage, raddish (red color), can reduce the probability of occuring cancer much.. cancer causes due to genes... and it can also induced by carcinogans like cigarete, more spicy food's , not feeding milk to babies after marriage, moe cholestrol food's , late marriage to women, not cleaning genetal organs.... like this it go..............s
