Keloids??? |
I had one removed from my ear about 3 months ago and my doctor said that I shouldn't get anything else pierced because Keloids would form in that area that I get pierced but do you think Keloids would form after a tatoo??? Please help me in answering this and thank you this is really just depends on your skin! I know that sounds lame, but a piercing is through and through. A tat is under the skin and back out. Strangely enough, certain dyes and/or colors may also trigger an allergic reaction and stimulate the overgrowth of skin. Here is a link, please read it to help you understand your risks: Yes, it's possible to develop keloid scarring from a tatoo. By the way, that's all it is, a scar. Keloid scars are just abnormally thick. Probably not. I know someone that gets keloids, which like the person above me said...are just thick, raised scars. He has numerous tattoos, but no keloids on the tattoos. It's more so if he gets a deep cut or something like that. I finally found something to get rid of keloids....TEA TREE OIL! It works almost over night...and I've tried a lot of things..dial soap, aloe, H2Ocean, sea salt...etc.. this is the only thing that works besisdes getting it removed by a doctor... i think the tea tree oil is better because its faster and easier...give it a try! |
