Any Real Help for Keloids? |
Has anyone out there had any luck with reduction of keloids or other raised scars by any method? Mederma and those scar strips from Curad have not done much. My doctor gave me a shot of cortisone in the keloid itself and it shrunk down to a flat scar. Said it could increase again, but it has been 4 years and it has never done so. i had a huge one on my neck and my doctor cut it off and sewed it back up..now i have a small flat scar You need a dermatologist/plastic surgeon, tendency to keloid is genetic. A good plastic surgeon will have experience with this. i had one on my ear after not taking care of the piercing very well. my doctor gave me a special clip on earring to put over it. it helped flatten the keloid out a bit. with time it becomes smaller. |
