Question about keloids on my right earlobe.?

The keloids on my right earlobe formed from ear piercing seems like its getting bigger. Maybe because I use to scratch it alot when it was itching. I know i could get them surgically removed from a dermatalogist but it still might come back anyways. What happen if i just leave it there, Will it keep growing bigger or can it reduce in size over time? Any help i can do to make it less?

This is how my piercer explained keloids to me:

Keloids are the body's reaction to pain. The body starts creating more scar tissue in the area to reduce pain. So, there are two ways to treat the keloids.

1. Leave the area alone. Stop touching, moving the piercing. No pain=no keloid.

2. Help your body not feel pain when present. Take an asprin tablet and crush it. Mix the powder with water until it's a paste. Put the paste on your keloid (if this is an already healed piercing) and leave it there for 10-15 minutes. Flake off the powder that remains.

I had one from a nose piercing... I took the piercing out- and it went away with time... I did poke it with a needle, it bled alot- which made it smaller, it took some time- but they go away.

You need to talk to a dermatologist or a surgeon. Normally, I would say surgery, but with keloids, you may just be trading one mutant scar tissue for another. Talk to a specialist.
