Okay... Keloids?

I have two questions-
I have several peircings and a large tattoo. About a month ago I got my Rook pierced (in your ear) and last weekend a small bubble like has grown beside it. I though it was a Keloid but I have never had one before and from what pictures I have seen on the internet it does not look like one. It only hurts when I mess with the bubble and I tried to pop and it was oily looking. Any possible ideas of what it is?

The other questing is my friend has had her lip pierced for over a year and recently she has noticed a small bump that now looks like a boil/pimple. She said is is very itchy and sore. She also has never had a keloid. Any ideas for her?

a few weeks after i got my rook pierced, i also developed a keloid. i went to a tatoo parlor and have one of the piercers there remove my ring and change it. once he did, a few days later i noticed it had gotten smaller. eventually, it went away. i asked the guy about it and he said sometimes, they can go away on their own. the more you poke at it and pick it, the bigger and redder it can get. so maybe try getting a new ring for it and see if that helps. worked for me! good luck
