Parents whose child/ren had kawasaki's disease?

Hi
My daughter had kawasaki's disease when she was 18months (now 3yr 9mnths). She was treated and the Drs say she is okay but ever since she had kawasaki's she's hasn't been the same health wise. She is severly constipated. It started out with just 2-3 days but now its last more than a week. She has been put on all sorts of laxatives but they only work for the first few days, or maybe a week. The Dr had pout her on PEG3350 at 175ml per day.. The first month it worked.. but she wouldn't go clearly, just spot through out the day. Now the peg doesn't work. I have to give her Fleet once a day and a suppository once or twice a day. That too only works sometimes but not always.. She is very strong so she expels the fleet from her body. I have taken her to the ER and they just increased her PEG dosage to 220ml per day but that hasn't helped at ALL.. She has lost her appetite.. She says it hurts when she eats but she is hungry. I am at my wits end. I don't know what to do, so I turned to all

for help. I hate seeing her like this.
I would like to know if anyone has experienced such or similar situations with u'r child and if it was sorted. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like to worst mother in the world.
Everything else is great. She is a gifted child. She is quite smart but it's just this that is making my baby's life miserable. Please any answers would help. Thank you all in advance

I had it myself 11 years ago, and I was in hospital for two weeks and then ill for a year. It's definitely not something you can recover from quickly. Appetite loss is normal, but it is weird that it's happened so long after KD (I had it right at the beginning). Don't worry, you sound like a great mum, there's really not a lot you can do with Kawasaki symptoms. It WILL end eventually, it just takes a while with Kawasaki. If it lasts much longer, though, you should probably go back to the ER.

thank you so much... Report It

in this sort of situation the kinesiologist an find out what to do try it and i hope they will find what it is causing this horrible situation
