My son's INR level is way too high? |
My son had kawasaki disease last year when he was year and half old, which left him with coronary artery damages. Since then he has been under a aggressive blood thinner medication regime with baby aspirin, coumadin, and plavix. The target for his INR level is 2-3 accroding to his doctor. He has been getting blood work checked every 2-3 weeks for the last year and half. And generally his INR level has been quite stable. There were a few incidents in the past that his INR levels were either a bit too low (1.7-1.9) or a bit too high (3.1-3.5). But with a minor ajustment on his coumadin dosage, his INR level would back to the target. Here is a link to an article about that...check under "what did the researchers find?"...it mentions unstable heart disease as one finding.. First, I am not a doctor and not giving medical advice or trying to cure the disease, but I have studied nutrition for many years and have some basic knowledge of how the body works. The elevated INR level could be a result of the shots & vaccines. Both of these have high levels of mercury in them from the Thimerosol. The liver has to deal with this and we know that taking the drugs you have mentioned is definitely damaging his liver. A liver that is not functioning properly will not handle the mercury well. My guess is that it has something to do with the Hep A vaccine. Increased INR levels can be a result of liver disease, including hepatitis. Not to alarm you or anything, because the most likely answer is that's it's related to the vaccine, but other causes of high INR levels include CHF, and leukemias. There are also a lot of drug interactions... Salicylates (Asprin) is one that can cause a high level of INR. Also, antibiotics (penicillin, streptomycin, carbenicillian, chloraphenicol, neomycin and tetracyclines). Thorazine, Librium, Dilantin, warfarin (Coumadin), Aldomet, Dilantin, heparin, mitrhamycin, reserpine, Butazolidin, and quinidine. |
