Attention all Doctors!! Question for YOU!!?

I had Kawasaki Disease at age 4, Im 13 now and extremely active is it necessary for me to go in for an EKG to look for any complications with my heart?

EKGs are painless and take like 10mins. Very easy. Couldn't be any easier to get peace of mind, to know that you can continue to be very active.

Yes it is extremely important for you to see if there are any unresolved issues with that vasculitis.
Go see your cardiologist to make sure to clear you for all activities.

yep yep beter safe than sorry

yes it would be a good idea and follow ups every 5 years. Prevention is good medicine. Plus you will have peace of mind.

Yes.

Yes....it is....and why are you on here?

I am no doctor,sorry
You should see your family doctor and ask for some advice about it.
The link bellow talked about the problem that you have.good luck

I've got a heart mumur and can tell you from experience that EKG's are easy. If you don't know how one works, or worried about getting one, don't be worried. All they do is put some gel on the ends of suction like cups and put them to your chest. The machine prints out the heart rhythm and that's it. Takes all of 5-10 minutes.

It's best to keep a check on things. I've gotten two done in my 40 years of life. Doesn't hurt to keep track.

I am not a doctor but my daughter had Kawasaki's disease 5 months ago and i would say have to you have the EKG or anything else that they ask you to have its better to be safe than sorry
