I have juvenile diabetes and depression. I am 20 years old and have been trying to lose 20 lbs but keep gettin It's not uncommon for people to become overwhelmed and down from diabetes, especially when you add another challenge on top of it like weight loss, job stress, or caring for another. with stress and depression you release cortisol, a hormone that tends to make us hold onto calories. the insuline issues do the same thing. I know exercise is one of the only answers, along with a healthy diet, but because of your medical issues, I think you should ask your doctor for a referral to a dietician at your local hospital. your meds for depression can sometimes cause weight gain. keep trying. the extra exercise is good for fighting depression anyway, and will make you stronger. don't try diet pills etc. they don't work and are dangerous. Good luck. How is your food plan?? are you eating whatever you want and covering it with insulin? |
