First of all, no one here can give you the medical advice that your child's doctor can give you. And that is who you should be asking for specific medical advice. I'm not saying this to be mean, this is honestly what you need to do.

While many of us here have knowledge in the field either due to university education or life experience, you cannot risk your child's life when it comes to such a serious disease.

I am more than willing to try and assist you as much as possible when it comes to technical and medical advice, but please note that I am not going to give you any specific advice. This MUST come from your child's doctor, who knows your child's EXACT needs.

If you have questions about causes of low blood sugar, how to treat low blood sugar, types of insulin, etc, feel free to email me.

But PLEASE do not take any specific dosing advice over the internet. You may be putting your child's life at risk. If this is an emergency, call your child's doctor or take her to the ER if you are unsure.

Lastly, make sure you go to diabetes education classes and perhaps join a support group. Type 1 diabetes is NOT an easy disease to control, and your doctor should have supports in place for you.

For someone who wants details your question sure does lack substance, in fact I don't really see a question. You want the details of every insulin injection over the last 32 years?

I'm type 1 diabetic, it's easy to control your bloodsugar levels most of the time if you eat right, exercise, and take the proper amount of insulin. I take four bloodtests a day, and three insulin shots a day. I'm not sure what else I can say, sorry.

I was diagnosed when I was 12 years old. A few monts later, I was giving myself Lente/Humalog mixed injections in my arms, tummy, and thighs. When I was 16, I got an insulin pump. I really like it because I don't have to eat at a certain time and I can eat how much/little I want. I have to change the infusion set every 3 days to keep it from getting infected. It does get infected sometimes though and I have to take antibiotics. If you want to know more just IM me at ashleyjoroberts.

32 YEARS TYPE 1, DROP ME AN E-MAIL, I'LL HELP AS MUCH AS I CAN. bearchow03@yahoo.com
