What should I include in my letter to ask friends and family to support jdrf by send money? |
im raising money for my juvenile diabetes walk team. im sending out letters to my friends and family asking for donations. i dont want it to sound pushy and i also dont want to sound pathetic when telling about the struggles of living with diabetes every day... any suggestions? Your Juvenile Diabetes Walk Team needs to have a meeting to decide on a format to use when sending out these letters, since others besides you will be asking for donations. Something light and quick that talks a bit about the disease. Make it positive sounding, and let them know they can help science continue to learn about this disease. Let them know specifically what their donated money would be used for, and whether or not it would be tax deductible. try not to worry about sounding pushy. i have had diabetes for 6 years. and my family completely supports jdrf. they get excited with anything relative to it lol. if you explain to them about how its like to live with diabetes, not putting a lot of 'gimme sympathy' in it and just telling them how much it would mean to you if they could donate anything then it should go well. i should prolly start collecting too eh? |
