My mom was juvenile diabetic....? |
she died in 1986 at 34 ..she didnt really take good care of herself like she should of..I was 16 it was alot of stress.....but what are my chances of getting diabetes now as an adult....I have had gestational diabetes with 1 (last) child? i am so sorry to hear about your mom. i too am a type one diabetic. i have had a hard time but i am on the right tract now. Getting type 1 diabetes at your age is very low, although I would watch out for any symptoms throughout you children's lives. If you were going to have it you probably would have had something trigger it while you were a child or even in your early 20s. It is not impossible for you to get it but the chances are very low. Type 2 is always a possibility, so take care of your health. It is very important that you eat healthy and exercise |
