Where can I find a good specialists for migraine headaches, seizures? |
I have a daughter that has continuous migraine headaches and there's no medication that is touching them. Plus she has grand mal seizures. My daughter is 24 soon to be 25 yrs. old. She's a type 1 diabetic, juvenile onset diabetes the doctors call it. No one knows what's causing the seizures at all. Last night at the emergency rm. she had seizures and it scared a PA who knows my daughter. They admitted her in to the hospital. I'm also a lifetime migraine sufferer, I feel your pain...try the Cleveland Clinic...there have branches all over the US..I have been many time in the Hospital too... Know a great Head & Neurological place in Michigan. Is that too far away> Endocrinologist is who she should too - for the diabetes - her sugars may be too high or too low. In my medical book...so sorry there is no cure for migraine headaches per se..BUT my book says to take 400mg. of magnesium twice a day...see if it lessens the occurrences..if it doesn't take 3 times per day..i hope it works in your daughter case...i am sooo sorry you have to go through this... i've heard that sucking or chewing on ice also helps....with the mirgranes...as for the seizures, i would not know. |
