Jock itch and lumps in groin area...HIV?

Hi, a friend of mine has the jock itch and he also told me that he has noticed 2 lumps in the groin area and that he's had it for a little of 8 months now. He's also lost around 30lbs this summer but he did change his eating ways just a little and became a little more active. Could this be something serious like HIV

If these symptoms worry you I suggest you have your friend go visit his physician right away. The doctor will let you know whether or not it could be HIV.

If your friend has engaged in risky behavior, he should get tested for HIV. Another possibility is that the lumps are cancerous (although swollen lymph nodes are probably more likely). My advice is to get to a urologist ASAP.
