Help...bad jock itch.?

i have a bad rash inside my legs next to my genitals. i have been working in the outdoor heat of the california summer and sweat all day long. about two weeks ago i started to itch really bad down there but there were no signs of anything. just in the past week the rash started showing. its really red and kind of puffy. it itches bad. i have never had anything like this before. what is it? the pharmacy tech told me it is jock itch. and he told me to use lamasil. please help. should i not work until it is healed, cause if i work in the heat it will be harder to get rid of?

What you have is a yeast infection. Just buy any medication they sell for jock itch in a drug store. It's all the same, despite the brand name, and it all works if you use it properly. You can still work. You should remember to wash you hands both BEFORE and AFTER touching yourself in that area. You should also avoid any sexual contact while you have the infection. It is contagious.

yeah ask for a couple days off.. or just have the doctor write a note sayiong u need this many days off

Their is a product out their called jock itch,its a powder and it works I would use it in the evening after a good shower and you not active,but in day time I would use vasoline or even balmex they help put a moisure barrier in that area.I had it and its very uncomfortable,might try wearing lose fitting underware for a while,not working is your decision and perhaps your bosses
