I'm trying to cure my jock itch by trying to wear boxer, but is it true that it will affect genital growth?

I am 20 and having this jock itch problem for almost a year and it's really irritating me. Sometimes after I used cream for several days it would be fine, but when the weather was hot again, the itch was always back and reddish. Is that one of the cause? How to cure it and clear the mark exactly?

So now I will try to use the cream and wear boxer to see how it will go, but I heard before that if we didn't wear briefs or anything more loose, it would cause the scrotums to be loose and saggy. I wonder if that is myth or fact?
Please answer seriously, thank you for your help.

HI Double

If you have jock itch then you have Candida. Here is how to fix the issue.

A Quick Action Plan for Dealing with Candida

1. Find out if you have Candida overgrowth through Darkfield Microscopy blood work testing, electrodermal screening, or other reliable screening, and proceed accordingly.

2. Eliminate all sugar and sugar-containing foods, including alcohol, sweetened chocolate and soda. Eat no fruit other than grapefruit, green apples, and small quantities of berries. Release caffeine products, including coffee and black tea.

3. Do not eat foods that contain yeast or flour such as bread, biscuits, muffins, bagels, cookies, etc. Avoid fermented foods such as soy sauce, and only use apple cider vinegar.

4. Obtain adequate amounts of essential nutrients including vitamin A, beta carotene, all B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E, calcium, chromium, magnesium, selenium, zinc, essential fatty acids, and the amino acid, taurine.

5. Supplement with the probiotics acidophilus and bifidobacteria.

6. Take digestive enzymes, including ones with amylase and cellulose, as they help eliminate unhealthy yeasts while also aiding overall digestion. Hydrochloric acid (HC1) may be useful as well.

7. Useful herbal remedies include barberry, caprylic acid, citrus seed extract, garlic, goldenseal, oil of oregano, Oregon grape, and tea tree oil.

8. Avoid the use of antibiotics, birth control pills, and all synthetic hormones. Avoid conventionally produced inorganic dairy products, choosing raw organic dairy whenever possible.

9. Dealing with Candida requires a comprehensive treatment approach; significant improvements may not be noticeable for three to six months. Seek the help of an alternative health practitioner experienced with Candida, if you need support.

Best of health to you

The second part of your question is a myth.

Jock itch is a fungal infection of the skin, and as most fungal infections can be pretty hard to get rid of. Keeping the area as dry as possible and using topical anti-fungal regularly for 2-4 weeks continuously should do the trick. Reinfection is common though. Discuss it with your doctor it you have already tried this without success.

suggest you go back to the docs, maybe you need the cream and some meds at the same time.................a year is too long for this to be occurring all the time make sure your boxers are as high cotton content as you can get and nope your "bits" will not get saggy..you either have a saggy sac or not..............

and of course make sure your hygiene is the BEST, wash and thoroughly dry that area.

Someone has told you wrong. Wearing boxers is actually better, more importantly it will help get rid of the itch. After a year, I would think healing would be more important...by the way have you seen a doctor?

You need to use the cream for quite a while. Boxers are better for you, because they allow air circulation around the scrotum, lowering the temperature, which promotes sperm production.

If you've had the jock itch for almost a year, it's time to go to the doctor. Don't be embarrased. Sometimes, just like with women, these things get so out of control that over the counter meds do not work. You may need prescription strength to clear it up. And as for the saggy scrotum, I hate to tell you this....but you are going to get saggy balls anyways when you get older. The type of undies you wear isn't going to make that huge of a difference. You can always compromis and wear boxer briefs... Wow, I never knew that guys worried about getting saggy balls! You learn something new every day! Good luck!
