What is the best cure for jock itch?

I have had a rash on my pubic area for about 6 months now. I wash daily yet it won't go away. I think it is jock itch. I have had a couple of bumps above my penis and the other day I found a blood blister on the inside of my thigh. My crotch constantly itches and burns and I don't want to go to my doctor because it is embarassing.

Sounds like an STD. Maybe you have herpes? You should really get to the doctor asap. This is your health we're talking about!

You need to go see a doctor. In the meantime, apply some OTC anti fungal cream such as Lotrisone or Monistat every nite before you go to bed. Apply liberally.
You may have a STD if you are sexually active.

Too much humidity or moisture can cause it to bee very itchy and the scratching may have caused it to get infected.
The best remedy for this is "AIR". I am serious.
Try going to bed naked. no underwear or p.j's.
The infected area has to stay dry. After your shower, blow dry the area with cool air. A towel will just irritate it.
Try this for 7 days. IF it doesn't get better you may need to get an antibiotic ointment. Try as much as possible to keep the area dry. Another remedy could be a baby rash oitment.
