Jet Lag Help? 10 points to the person who answers first? |
Hi, I Find that preparing for sleep is just as important as sleeping.A Hot soak in the tub or Shower.Followed by a Dark room. hot tea or coffee? sugar? soda or energy drinks? Exercise and perhaps some heavy food to lull you to sleep. Make sure you cut out all distractions (light, noise, etc) so you won't wake up in the middle of the night. It will take you a few days to completely catch up, but aim for 6 hours or so of sleep tonight, and perhaps a 1 hour nap tomorrow afternoon, and you should be fine for school. I would go workout at the gym or go running....try to get some of your energy out. You could also try eating turkey which has chemicals which make you sleepy...or a warm glass of milk. A hot bath helps too. You could also read. Well as weird as this sounds, hit the gym for an hour. The only thing that is going to tire you is using your stored energy. You can try a heavy meal if you want to stay home. Carbs tend to sit in your stomach and make you sleepy. Do an exercise video now. Then chill for an hour. Drink some milk and a turkey sandwich before bed (both contain tryptophan). try to slowly agest youre sleep youll get baco to normal Drink warm milk (lol) Read a book. Reading always conks me out. |
