What is the best way to get over jet lag when traveling back from Asia to California? If possible, see if you can start adjusting your internal time clock to PST while you're over there by going to bed earlier and getting up earlier. You'll be closer to your time zone when you land. (On my last trip to Europe, I had a few days to prepare, so on my departure date I wound up going to bed at 5 PM and got up at 1:00 AM. It really worked!) I travel for a living. The best advice I can give is to leave at least one day between the time you get home and the time you have to go back to work just to get a good night sleep. Unfortunately, there isn't a miricle cure for jetlag. Have one day to get used to the time change, and rest up. Eat a healthy diet, and drink plenty of water. Time is the best thing. |
