Does anyone have any tips for overcoming jet lag after a 5 hour time difference?

I've been trying for years - and I can still never seem to get it right.

(((helloworld))))
I've missed you!! I hope you had a great vacation!! My life is upside down right now-- I cannot get internet at home.

Hopefully, that will change soon...

Anyway-- just try and adjust your internal clock to normal eating and sleeping times again. Even an hour a day in that direction will help.

Sleep doll, is the only cure.

There was a recent study that showed the Viagra helps. No joke.

um....sleep.

Go to your pharmacy and get melatonin. It will help you fall asleep so you can sleep on your time zone schedule. It's great for jet lag! We use it all the time when we go and return from trips.

since you arrive do all your activities in the schedule of the city you are, the first day will be a nightmare, but its worth the effort

short naps...15 or 20 minutes...2 or 3 time a day till you even out

Going out for a thirty minute jog in the new city always seemed to work for me. Don't know why.

No idea, sorry.

This works for me. Immediately do what is appropriate in the time zone you came to. It could be sleep or lunch or dinner.

Ignore what your body is saying. Follow your brain.

The first day may be a bit fuzzy if I'm dealing with a 6+ time change but the next day is just fine.

I can't say it works for everybody, but it works for me.

Its been a while, but I have never notice if I have gotten jet lag.

Hydrate. Lots and lots of water. Before, during, and after the flight. How this helps, I really don't know, but it does!!

A colleague of mine put together a page on mahalo.com called How to Overcome Jet Lag:

I think it has a lot of helpful links and information, and I hope it helps you.
