I have just come back from US and having a terrible time to sleep coz of the jet lag and i cant work also coz of this.
Any medicines that you guys can tell me which i can have and sleep without gettin a prescription from the doc and is easily availble at the chemist store.

NONE

You shouldn't even be able to get proper sleeping pills without a prescription.

Only real option is to go to a herbal remedy store, try Holland & Barrett, and ask there.

u cant hav medicines without a doctor's prescription!!!
go to a doctor n tell him u want 2 take sleeping pills, he will tell u wht 2 do, if the doctor says then its harmless but if u take it urself then it may cause harm

u dont take any, coz it will affect ur health. better u relax and u will get sleep, change ur attitude towards life. u have lost confidence in ur life, come on go ahead, ur good life is waiting for u.

hmm i guess Melatonin would be a suitable answer

ALL sleeping pills can't be taken without a prescription. If you mean what sleeping pills CAN be taken without prescription the answer is NONE.

Get some night nurse

melatonin

go to boots and get some nytol. they're a herbal one and really do work. alternatively you could buy some antihistamines. they have the same effect of making you drowsy.

any

You can try benadryl, it's cheaper than most sleep medications and it has the active ingredient that is in most sleep medications as well (diphenhydramine). If that doesn't work, you can try homeopathic remedies such as
mid-night. Also, if you want to be able to regulate your sleep patterns and help keep a steady REM cycle, you can start taking melatonin nightly. It helps you get better sleep even if it is only for a few hours. It is a chemical naturally made in your body that can be taken to regulate your sleep and makes some people sleepy as well. Any of these can be found at your local CVS, Kroger, HEB, Walmart, Rite Aid, etc. Good luck!

Try Unisom by Pfizer :) it really works:)

Benadryl.

It's an anti-allergy medication over the counter. Most doctors ask people to try that before writing a prescription for something.

Do not take the Benadryl for an extended period of time because it dehydrates you and it can cause nightmares with prolonged use.

P.S. Finally! A decent pharmacist up in here! W00t! :)

Melantonin is used for jet lag. I used it when I was working in night shift. It helps to sleep. Take half hour before you sleep.
You don't need prescription and purchase it at any pharmacy.

I once had a jet lag when traveling between Asia and US. At that time, melantonin was not invented yet. I drink a lot of fruit juice and stay in the sun as long as I can. According to science, the sunlight will stop the brain from producing melantonin.
