Beta blockers?

I used to drink to get a hang over. Now I don't need to. I'm jet lagged the whole time. Anybody else had this problem? They are cheap and stop adrenalin being produced but they have screwed my life u............(falls asleep)

My blood pressure was around 240, but I had surgery to correct this. The sawbones says, that I should stay on because of a damaged heart... I ain't so sure.

beta blockers are drug for treatment of excessive heart beat (tachycardia),control of hypertention (high blood pressure) and for many psycological problems also, there are many kind of beta-blockers,feeling sleepy is one of its side-effects,but one thing i know that treatment of any disease with beta-blocker shouldn't be stopped suddenly, beta-blocker adrenoceptors should be redeuced gradually not all on a sudden
it can cause reduced sexual drive or ejaculatory or erection delay if taken for a long time but as a medicine it has to be taken for cure for which it is prescribed.

What exactly are you going on about?

if you have just started taking BBs then you can get like that if you have been on them for awhile you should stop and see your doc man.........if your not on a script you should stop....

Beta blockers can cause lethargy (generalised weakness & tiredness) as a side effect, as well as cold extremeties & hypotension which may contribute further to the jet-lagged feeling that u r experiencing.
Why did u start taking them in the first place? Consult ur doctor & see if u can safely be changed to another drug suitable for ur condition, or to gradually stop the BBs if u don't need them anymore.
