Jaundice treatment?


If a baby had jaundice and got treated. Would the person end up unsually pale? or does the treatment make u regular?

Jaundice is caused by a buildup of bilirubin in infants. The treatment gets rid of the excess bilirubin. (If untreated, high bilirubin levels can cause brain damage)

It does not affect the child's pigmentation, which is due to melanin, a totally different substance.

It makes you regular. If the baby is pale after being treated for Jaundice then he just has pale skin.

Make sure the baby gets some sunlight...
