Itching...?

I've been itching like crazy the past week or so. I don't have any rashes, but my left shoulder constantly itches, my neck, and my thigh also, but not as much. The only thing I've done differently is I started tanning after a 1 1/2 of not tanning. I didnt burn or anything. I'm also on birth control, so does tanning and b. control do that? Also, the spot on my shoulder thats constantly itching is over a mole...should I get that checked out?

tanning beds can REALLY make your skin dry. make sure you are moisturizing your skin like crazy while you're tanning. birth control has nothing to do with it, but i agree with everyone else about the iychy mole - especially if you're tanning in tanning beds - get yourself checked out OFTEN

my guess would be that you may be allergic to either the lotion you are using, or the chemicals they use to clean the beds. as for the mole, next time you go to the doctor, have them check it. i had an itchy mole once, and it turned out to just be a zit growing right beside it!!

go to the doc asap! itching and mole can sometimes be cancer. Also what about laundry detergent , personal soap, or lotion. Read the birtcontrol pills side effects. Could be something new you've tried or ate?

If it's not an allergic reaction like what the other Answerer's gave, it could be urticaria. You're not taking any tanning pills, are ya? Cuz large amounts of canthaxanthin can cause urticaria, a severe itching condition, but you could get urticaria completely separate from tanning too.

I've got urticaria and take Allegra and antihistamines for it.
