Itching problem...? |
okay, so for the past two days i've been itching like crazy! i don't know what's different. i itch from head to toe! i know my skin is super dry so i've started to put lotion on...but it still itches! and i know it's not scabies because i don't have those red marks or rashes....i don't shave my legs that often but i did a couple days ago and that's when i noticed the itching...plus, i itch at night too!! what's going on?? any cures? i hear milk baths are good... You say you noticed this right after you shaved. Did you get any new bath products? This could be a contact allergy from the soap you used to wash yourself, or your laundry detergent, or something like that. If any chemicals have changed in your environment, it could be causing this! get a cream that is for itching skin yeah use a little vinegar in the water. try taking an oatmeal bath and try using eucerin calming cream. That's what works for me and I itch always. This happened to me over the summer. I was going crazy for two days straight. My allergist thought it was some shellfish that I had eaten the day before, however, it proved negative on a skin test. He gave me some Benadryl and the itching subsided. Maybe you're having an allergic reaction to something. Try some Benadryl. check your shaving cream for rust around the top, or anything in it that you could be allergic to.Also check your razor and the stuff they put on the strip at the top. It sounds like an allergic reaction. Doctor can arrange blood tests and/or send you to a dermatologist. Go to the dermatologist It could be eczema or psoriasis or it could be as simple as an allergy to your laundry detergent or something in the air or dust mites that may not have bothered you at one time but now it does. You may want to try a soapless soap, changing your laundry detergent, changing your beding at least 3 times a week, vaccuming your mattress and under the bed and seeing a doctor. |
