Underarm Itching!! Red bumps....?

Ok, I have had these red bumps under one arm inparticular. The other comes and goes with itching. I have done everything, from switching laundry soaps, bath soaps, even switching deoderants, to even going without deoderants. (yeah I know, gross, but I'm desperate!) I have even put on hydrocortisone cream 1%. Even taken benadryl, which seems to help it SOME. I do take a hormone pill, estradiol .5 mg, as I've had a hysterectomy. I've done lots of search, but come up with nothing about hormone related itching,,,,I seem to itch all over my body, CRAZY INSANE itching with no other bumps, just under my arm,,,,the all over itching comes and goes,,,but this underarm thing is ALL THE TIME!!! This has gone on a year and I'm soooo tired of it! any advice? (I have an appointment in August to see my gyno,,that is the quickest they can get me in...) Thanks!!!

hmm fungal, never thought of that,,thanks! Yes bumps happened after HRT. I also skip a couple of days between shaving and have tried various lotions, razors,,,but some of the bumps are not in the shaving "zone"....thanks for all your help!

It could possibly be a fungus infection. Have you tried fungicides? What also works well against fungus is blow drying your skin as well.

But are you talking to your dermatologist about it too? Be sure to get his advice as well. Also blowdrying your skin are also effective against fungal infections as all funguses depend on moisture to survive. Also Tinactin has to be reapplied daily to work. Report It

I get this frpm shaving. I do not know whether you get it from shaving too, but if you do it is a shaving rash from sensitive skin.

did the red bumps happen before the hormone therapy or after?

i never had that problem having itching and redness bumps under my arms ? cause i dont use soap or even switching ? you need to go buy yourself a shaving creams that only use for ladies . well may be you shouldnt put too much deoderant on youre armpit cause will cause driedless and sweats alot if you use only the same brand bottle. you should go try something new instead that has the right adate on the bottle . if you do take shower or bath after you might want to dried under youre arm with clean towel by padding on it and put body lotion after so that youre skins wouldnt have cracks or even itched .
