My ear is constantly itching what should I do.? |
I have had a horrible itching in my ear that has been going on for around three months. I have been to three different doctors and and Ears Nose and Throat Specialist. None of which sees anything wrong but they each gave me corizone drops or creams for the itching. After using the product the itch will stop for about a minuete and then its right back to itching. I had someone to tell me to use alchol I did but it only helped for a few minets too. I was also told to try perioxide but it did not help and the doctors told me not to use that because it would dry the ear out and make it itch worse. I have tried over teh counter drops that elimanate wax and treatment for swimers ear. the doctors say that there is no infectino or flacking skin present in the ear. I have tried changing soaps and hair products but nothing is helping. The itch is driving me crazy. Can someone identify the problem and help me fix it. Only serious ansers please. Any more ideas becuase this is driving me crazy and I dont know what to do. I have tried everything listed thus far. You should see a dermatologist (skin doctor). In my case I use a mix of alcohol and vinegar to wash my ears every Saturday. Alcohol removes water and kills germs. Vinegar creates an acid environment to avoid possible fungus I was born with severe skin issues... contact dermatitas, severe eczema; the driest skin in the world. As a child I would soak in a tub of olive oil, crying my eyes out because I hurt so bad. I had to get cortizone shots every year for my head to toe break out burst. Finally last year, my mom found me this product. I have the Free Derm HC with "Eczema/Dermatitis Cream" words written in red. (I believe this is a stronger version??) It clears me up overnight! It stops the itch and even the pain. I break out in this rash still, from around my mouth, to my neck (from tomato sauce and citrus allergy) to my wrists ( from dish soap) to the back of my legs from sweating. This works!!! Please give it a try. God Bless. I don't see that you mentioned using oil in the ears. I usually recommend putting a few drops of baby oil in the ear - let it soak with head tilted for a few minutes - then put a cotton ball in. switch to other ear if needed. Keep cotton ball in ear all night and remove in morning. This helps to moisturize ear without any chemicals like alcohol and peroxide. With anything you try it may not work right away but if you keep doing it every day after a few days or a week it should improve. Then you can try lessening the doses to every other day or as needed. |
