Itching from new birth control pill/Ortho Novum?

About a month and a half ago, my doctor switched me from Othro tri cyclen Lo, to Ortho Novum, after being on it for a year, because I was having occasional breakthrough bleeding.

This seemed kinda strange to me because Ortho Novum has a waaay higher level of progestin (and a different kind) than ortho lo does, and I though maybe they'd try one with a little higher of a level, than such a huge jump.

Anyway, I've noticed side effects from it already, like depression, almost immediately after starting it. However, I've also been having mild itching (vaginal itching AND random itching on my body), and was wondering if anyone else has had this reaction?

I've had bacterial & yeast infections before, so I know the symptoms I get, and am certain it's not that. I just had my yearly gyno check up, and showed no infections, or stds. Have tried changing all my soaps & laundry detergents. The only thing I can think of that I haven't ruled out would my BCP.

I had a problem with that taking Yasmin. It's due to the increase of hormone in your body. If you continue to have problems you want to contact your MD and tell him to switch you again. I switched from LoEstrin to Yasmin and I went right back on the LoEstrin after 5months. I absolutely love Lo Estrin. You may ask him to switch you too it.
