Duragesic Patch itching? |
I wear a durgesic patch once every 72-hours for my two herniated disc in my back, it helps overall with the pain, but after 12 hours it really starts to itch in the patch area alot the last one I had on for only two days cause it itched alot and when I took it off I was scratchin like if a flea was biting me my question is does anyone know a way to realeave the itching I dont wanna irritate the patch or skin and the itching can get annoying!! Please Help?! I know EXACTLY how you feel!! I was given those patches also and they would itch and under the patch would turn red. My doctor switched me from the patches to ANDROGEL. It is a small tube, the size of a super glue tube, and every AM You rub it on, I put it on my chest. It smells good when putting it on then the smell goes away. The only bad thing is it is sticky. Once it is on you have to wait a minute to let it really dry before putting on your shirt. I have had a disc replacement, a fusion at L5-S1 and i have a morphine pain pump implant. I hope this helps you!! Rodger Sounds like you might be allergic to the adhesive in the patch. I have this with certain patches and tapes. Since it is in the skin you might try some cortisone cream. |
