I'm itching everywhere n dont know why... Please help =(?

For the past 2 weeks or so I have been itching so much. At first I thought it was because of the cold weather so I have been doubling up on lotion and have stopped taking really hot showers but the itching is just getting worse!

It spread everywhere on my body but especially on my stomach, arms and back. I have used those sprays to help with the itch and chamomille but they have not helped either.

I dont have any rashes or bumps...my skin looks normal except when I itch too much it gets red. What could this be? Any advice pleaseeeee

BTW - I have not changed my diet, soap, clothes detergent....

Sometimes intense itching of the skin without any signs of a rash can indicate an internal disorder. I really think you should consult a physician or dermatologist and have them evaluate you. If you had dry skin or an allergy to something you would be seeing a rash or dry skin would be obvious. So I think you should rule out an illness, diabetes, etc. that may manifest in itching. could be hives caused by anxiety. Mine don't always show up right away. Also, change in soap, hair product or laundry detergent.

This must be terrible for you. Go and see your doctor is the best advice I can give.
It may or may not be serious, but hopefully he can give you something to help or refer you to a specialist.

You can actually start to develop allergies as you age. You might've developed an allergy to something that did not bother you before. Best bet, go see the doctor and get some work done to figure out what you skin may be allergic to.
