Was everyone in your household or that you have close physical contact with treated for scabies at the same time? ALL close physical contacts must be treated at the same time for the treatment to work, and all bedding must be laundered, and anything anyone being treated has worn in the last 3 days prior to treatment needs to be washed. If you have kids in daycare, everyone your kids have close contact with needs to be treated as well.

If you've done all that, you need to stop retreating and wait for the itching to stop. Itching can last up to 6 weeks after successful treatment - the itching is from an allergic reaction to the mites, and takes a while to subside after you've been succesfully treated. Itching now doesn't mean that you still have the mites. Continuing to use irritating treatments on your skin or in your laundry may make the itching worse. If you used the permethrin cream for treatment, that can really irritate your skin, so you need to baby it and be extra-gentle with it for a while or the itching will get worse. Focus on taking care of your skin - exfoliate gently with a skin scrub in the shower, and follow up with a good moisturizing cream. If the itching is driving you crazy, call your doctor and ask for something for the itching. Your doctor can prescribe some good antihistamines for you to take at night to stop the itching and help you sleep.

Another possibility: Do you have pets? Are they scratching too? Check them over carefully with a very fine-toothed comb. If you find tiny black specks, your pets probably have fleas. You can get good flea treatment medication from your vet. If you don't find any evidence of fleas, take them to the vet and ask the vet to check your pets for mites. Cheyletiella mites and animal sarcoptic scabies mites primarily live on animals, but can sometimes attack people. DON'T try 'alternative' or 'natural' remedies on your pets - many are toxic (tea tree oil is VERY toxic to cats). Consult your vet for treatment if you suspect your pets might have mites.

if its cold below o there frezzing outside then put your bed all of it outside for one day .
you can use the nix but i have seen more then a few people develop seixures after repeated use of that product .
i found that the best thing to do was to use the spray around the house huge amounts then bed out in the cold .
wash sheets and whatever you can in very hot water.
then have a bath and add bleach cholrine to the water.
do that bath with the bleach everyday for a week or even two. in a regular bath tub you would put 5 cap fulls of bleech in the water . after your done rinse with plain water . oh and get your head in the bath water as well soak in this water for a time each day .
wash the towels in hot water after each use.
keep up with the vacumm and spray and if needed put the bed outside again . this is what i have found is best
