Excema..itching help?

hey guys, what are some ways that you can avoid itching a spot?

if not, are there any anti-itch creams that actually WORK that wen u put it on, the itch goes away?

Cold applications: Because cold and itch travel along the same nerve fibers, the use of cold can "jam the circuits" and deaden itch. Methods of applying cold include:
Cool water, either by running tap water over the affected area or placing a cold clean washcloth on the skin.
Cool showers.
Ice packs, either the kind you buy or ice cubes in a plastic baggie.Hot water (in the shower, for instance) feels good temporarily, but it often leaves you feeling itchier later. Therefore, the use of hot water is not recommended.
Another good home remedy is:
Oatmeal works well for any itchy condition. It soothes irritated skin while also drawing out any remaining toxins. An oat bath is ideal for a large rash that already has settled in. 鈥淢ake a big pot of soupy oatmeal, strain it into the tub and put the rest in a sock,鈥?Phillips recommends. You will want the bath water to be tepid or cool because hot water can further irritate poison oak and ivy. Use the goopy sock like a sponge and let the oat slime ooze over your rash. 鈥淥r grind up the organic oat flakes and make a cold paste and smear it on,鈥?Flint says. 鈥淎s the oats and water dries, it pulls out the oily exudate into the oat particulate. Your rash won鈥檛 spread, and it gives you relief.鈥?br> Aloe Vera cream or use a leaf off of a house plant of Aloe.
Aloe Vera, the common houseplant whose sap is used to counteract burns in the kitchen, is another soothing natural ingredient.

Hydrocortisone should not be used on large rashes, but only on small areas. It is most effective on rashes that respond to cortisone, like eczema and seborrhea
Calamine lotion is a traditional zinc-containing medicine that helps relieve itching, especially when the itch is spread over a large portion of the body. It tends to be runny and unattractive to use, but it is inexpensive. Sometimes it can be found to contain diphenhydramine, which improves both its consistency and effectiveness. Be careful not to use both topical and oral diphenhydramine at the same time because of the risk of overdose.
I hope you can find some relief by using one of the above remedies! Good Luck and Itch Be Gone!!!!

Put some Bag Balm on it and cover it.

I get small patches of eczema on my arm/neck and I use hydrocotisone cream at the first sign of it. It moisturizes the area which helps stop itching, as well as helps the irritation.

There are also prescription creams that can help, talk to your dermatologist about triamcinolone cream
