Painful itching in Winter?

Ok so every time in winter when I am about to do a activity (Boxing, basketball, running, etc..) or even stand under sun my skin starts to itch very painfully, its mostly all over my upper body and legs. It is really really painfully, it feels like someone is poking me with thousands of needles all over my body. But once I get sweaty it goes away. Sweating makes it go away. And now I have started feeling that the itching attack creates small little white pimple looking things all over my body. Once I get sweaty they go away as well.

It even starts even if I m sitting in a classroom. For example when I get nervous, confused or when my body start heating up and it creates the itch and I cant get sweaty in class, so I really have to try my best to annoy it, usually it goes away after couple mins when I cool down. But it鈥檚 not like a one time thing, it happens to me every time I m in those kinda conditions (nervous, heating up etc...) Which is part of everyday's life.

Please HELP

Is your skin very dry? Scratch your skin (say, your arm) lightly with your finger nail. Do you see white line there? If so, your skin is way too dry. Take it easy on hot water when you shower.

Use Dove (soap). Or try a lotion specifically for dry skin called Sarna. (http://www.dermstore.com/product_Sarna+L... It's over the counter, so you can buy it at most pharmacies. (Normally it is not kept on the shelve, you have to ask for it by name). It smells like tooth paste (i.e. minty), some people like it, some people hate it. Try to unscrew the bottle in front of them to smell it first before you buy it (if that's allowed basically). I personally love the stuff and use it regularly in winter.

If this doesn't help, you should see your doctor, and might get a referral to a dermatology.

Hi it sounds like your skin bumps (those naturally occurring bumps on your skin) get agitated when you do!

try buying a pair of exfloitation gloves (these are scrubby gloves that you put on when you're in the shower) & use a moisturizing body wash to help clean & scrub yourself down.

Alternatively, Dove has a light scented, exfoilation body scrub that you can put on a bath puff & scrub yourself down with in the shower to help keep the irritation down.

You'll also need to purchase a more effective product to help with sweat. try a cornstarch based power (try Lush Cosmetics) or just basic cornstarch (yes from the grocery store)...

Dust it all over the areas of your body where you get this sweat & it should help soak up the sweat in your clothes.

Try to wear more natural fibres, vs. synthetics, ie. cottons or at least 50% cotton blends vs. polyester which will help your skin breathe more!

Wear more light weight long sleeved button up shirts over T-shirts so you can stay looking cool as well as air your arms out if this happens.

If you find you are still getting this happening, I think you need to see your doctor in that you may have a non-serious condition that causes excess sweating.

As you didn't give your age & you've mentioned "class"--I will note that if you are in your teens--and you have this happen--most likely its caused from hormal changes in your body--which I know makes you SOOOO happy to hear! lol.

(& most likely, you'll grow out of it...)

Also try drinking the right amount of water a day (8 oz x 8 a day), this will hydrate your skin, take down notes of certain foods you eat--& see if this happens within 20 minutes.

Or see if its when u wear a certain outfit (if so, take note of what your clothes are made of & see above Cotton note).

Try to take cooler showers too--not COLD water, just not HOT as that can also dry out the skin. Plus perfumed products can irritate the skin on a reg. basis.

THe Dove Exfoilate body wash is a great great product OR the gloves (you can buy them at the spa section of your drugstore for less than $10 with tax).

Good luck~
