Any advice for Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

I have been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and the doctors told me to be on a high fiber diet which worked at 1st and now has stopped working and then on Zelnorm which also worked at 1st but no longer works. Does any have any other recommendations? I have an appt with a natural medicine doctor next week.

I would suggest Shaklee natural Optiflora. This advanced, two-product system uses new technology to protect beneficial microflora ("good bacteria") during the rigors of shipping, storage, and the acidic journey through your stomach. Other products claim live microflora at the time of manufacture. Shaklee guarantees the delivery of live microflora (500 million) to your colon.

This two-product system includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora).

Optiflora treats the cause not the symptom unlike medications.

sorry you are going through this... i have IBS too...but mostly the other end of the problem......... so i take imodium like they are going out of business.....

I have this too. Fiber worked a while....so did Zelnorm.... But then I found that yogurt called Activia! It works! I eat it every other day and it keeps me regular. If you don't like yogurt, mix it up in a blender with fruit and milk or something. You have GOT to try this, it's the only thing thats worked consistently for me.
