What is the best cure for ibs ( irritable bowel syndrome).? |
i'm undergoing with treatment for IBS( irritable bowel syndrome) since last year december. i'm taking duspatalin tablets every day, change my food style, taking planty of water and fruits, but still having pain. its like going off and comes back. what is the best cure? Hi Anushri My mom has IBS. She doesn't like to eat a ton of junk food and eats a lot of bananas for her IBS. I don't know how they make her feel better but they work! I think that you should continue doing what your doing as there is no cure for IBS - just make sure that you develop a routine when it comes to eating like eating around the same time each day my doctor gave me Zelnorm, and it works really well. I have symptoms of IBS and I control it by eating a high fiber diet and staying away from fatty foods. You also need to learn what foods trigger your reactions and stay away from them. It is also a good that you eat smaller meals throughout the day. but more frequently. The key here is to eat more fiber and drink plenty of water. I asked the same question, feel free to look. I know for me it's different foods at different times. It's usually greens, like lettuce, especially spinach. Dairies to such as cottage cheese & soft service ice cream. It doesn't usually hit me until the middle on the night. I guess it's different for everyone & should keep some type if food journal (someone suggested that to me) until you can figure out what triggers it. I don't get it all the time luckily, but when I do.....ouch. My doctor gave me some kind of medecine that melts on your tongue, but the problem is that I never knew when I was going to get an attack, so I stopped taking it. It's usually after the fact....at that point why bother? So, I choose to monitor what I eat. It's stoll a trial & error for me. I hope you find a happy medium. Waiting for a cure also.....take care. |
