Bradycardia and Irregular Heartbeat? |
I am an18 yo otherwise healthy female, I noticed several years ago that my heartbeat was about 50 bpm and i had an irregular pulse to where it will beat regular and stop for 5-10 seconds. I never thought much of it until i began nursing school. Today in class the teacher, whom is a nurse practitioner Strongly recommended that I see a doctor right away, which I will do however, in the mean time I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to why this would happened. The only associated factors that i can think of might be I get dizzy easily and I get migranes about 1-2x a month. Thank you for any advice. Bradycardia isn't a issue as much as the rhythm your heart is in. There are 4 that are associated with slow heart rates: Bradycardia in itself may not be a problem. Many athletes have low heart rates as a result of their conditioning so if you are an athlete this is normal. If you are not having any symptoms such as dizziness, lightheadedness, syncope then you don't qualify for treatment. |
