Irregular heartbeat? |
Im in my 20's and often have heart palpitations, it happens at any time and doesnt seem to be caused by anything in particular. It feels like my heart will suddenly beat really hard and then go back to normal as quickly as it came on. Heart beats are not always regular. If the irregularities happen once in a while and for a short time (less than one minute), you do not need to worry about it. It could be just a simple arrythmia. But your doctor really should care more, considering you used to be anorexic. You can get a test in the hospital that monitors your heart if it gets more serious. I was like you but I never had eating problems. All through my school years especially during PE and Gym; it would seem like my heart was coming out of my chest but in my teen years I thought of it as another sign of growing up. But, I passed out one day when my son was 5 and the ambulance people said that half of my body was blue but the other was as it should be. I remember thinking that half of me was dead and half of me is alive. My kids got scared when they saw my blue lips. They told me at the hospital that I have an irregular heartbeat and that chances are I was born with it. |
